At first, I loved going to the old cars shows because it was a great time to spend with the guys I loved most. My dad didn’t get very much time off of work, so when he did we made sure to enjoy it. I didn’t care too much about what we saw or what we did at the old cars shows, I just loved hanging out with my brothers and goofing around with my dad and grandpa.

The first media day of the 2011 North American International www.blogcarshow.com has come to a conclusion. This year’s show was marked with high points and a few disappointments but overall it is getting back on track. Porsche did not make their return to NAIAS a quite one, they brought what is one of the most gorgeous cars I have seen in some time, the 918 RSR. The body of the car is modified from the 918 Spyder and is powered by the technology from the 911 GT3 R hybrid race car. Other highlights included the New Audi A6, BMW 1 Series M, New VW Passat and Hyundai Veloster to name a few. Please have a look at the slide show for a quick view from some of today’s events. Whenever going over overseas you should have a passport. If you are not French then get yourself a passport and make sure you check the expiration date on it, passports expire like coupons do. U.S. Citizens staying under 90 days don’t require a visa. When staying longer than 90 days you’ll need to submit an application for a long-term visa, residence card, or a temporary-visa for your vacation. A proof of income or means of salary while in Paris and a very good reason why you are seeking long-term stay is required. The U.S. State Department can give you info and guide you through the procedure when applying for your passport.

With that in mind, you don’t want to miss the 10 Annual Rods, Rides and Relics cars show on Sunday, September 22 presented by the Redondo Pier Association.

If you lean toward cars you have many choices. Choose from different makes of motorcycles for open air cruising. Models in the classic car category range from 50s Plymouths and Mercurys, to 60s era Mustangs, to the old VW Beetles. More modern options range from economy cars to luxury vehicles. Take your choice of family cars; show cars, sports cars, or racing cars. Or build a remote control town where you have the opportunity to drive all the models.

U.S. buyers might still be able to get one though, as Daimler plans to market it directly to customers rather than put it in showrooms. Bergen County, NJ new Mercedes dealers will certainly keep an eye out for the opportunity to hook their customers up with this new electric Mercedes-Benz wonder.
